The Atlantic & Danville Railway was a 203 mile railroad operating in the states of North Carolina and Virginia with their headquarters in Suffolk, Virginia. The railroad filed for bankruptcy on January 19, 1960. The Norfolk & Western Railway purchased the Atlantic & Danville Railway at auction on October 31, 1962.
