The Chicago & North Western System was a Class I railroad and operated in the midwestern United States. It was also known as the North Western. The railroad operated 5000 miles of track with their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The Chicago & North Western System operated from 1982 until 1995. The Union Pacific Railroad purchased the railroad in 1995.
