The Sacramento Northern Railway was a 183-mile electric interurban railway connecting Chico in northern California with Oakland via the California capital, Sacramento. It operated on the streets of Oakland, Sacramento, Yuba City, Chico, and Woodland and ran passenger service until 1941 and freight service into the 1960s. The Western Pacific Railroad purchased the Sacremento Northern Railroad in 1922 as a subsidiary and kept the original name. In 1925 the WP created a "new" Sacramento Northern Railway in order to group the growing collection of WP interurban railroad holdings.
This Sacramento Northern Railway cap is made of 65% Polyester-35% Cotton and has an adjustable plastic strap for one size fits most for a comfortable fit for years of use.
